Catalog description

Survey of classical and modern geometry. Classical geometry topics include systems of measurement, pattern recognition, symmetry, planar and spatial figures, congruence and similarity, area and volume, geometric constructions, special triangles and trigonometry, and coordinate geometry. Modern geometry topics include subjects in both Euclidean and non-Euclidean geometry. Students should be successful with a minimal algebra background. No prior exposure to geometry is assumed.
