Catalog description

Examination of evidence-based leadership practices in healthcare delivery systems. Leadership theories, models, strategy, and analytics provide a strong foundation for quality and fiscally sound clinical operations. Key healthcare leadership trends, governmental imperatives, and clinical accreditation readiness practices within the healthcare industry are analyzed. Emphasis on management of clinical staff, departmental levels of autonomy, rightsizing of staffing/services/resources, and leading in times of dynamic system change. Additional focus on workplace culture, diversity, advocacy, and policy/ethical awareness in the provision of healthcare services.
