Catalog description

Opportunity to apply theoretical Healthcare Leadership and Administration concepts in a supervised, real-world healthcare setting during the final year in the program. Direct engagement with healthcare leaders, exploring the practical side of operations, strategic planning, human resources, compliance and patient care coordination. A minimum of 225 work experience hours is required, as well as the satisfactory completion of a final employer assessment. Permission of the course instructor is required to enroll. Students must locate and secure their own internship site, which must be approved by the instructor.
