Overview of the causes, signs/symptoms, and treatments of primary and co-occurring psychological disorders. Emphasis on specific aspects of healthcare provision for patients with psychological disorders, along with best practices for enhancing patients’ quality of care/quality of life through proper use of the curative and palliative models. Discussion of societal norms, values, stigma, isolation, grief, and social realities.
