Catalog description

Examination of professional design and engineering practices with a focus on intellectual property (IP) rights, including patent, trademark, and copyright law as they apply to product and engineering design. Development of professional communication skills through proposal and memorandum writing. Application of design thinking and sketching techniques to conceptualize and document product development ideas. Emphasis on the integration of concurrent engineering methods, ethical considerations, and technical communication in preparation for the senior capstone project. Spring Only.
