Theory and practice in computer numerical control (CNC) part programming and machining using G code, conversational and computer aided design (CAD)/computer aided manufacturing (CAM) programming for two-, three-, and four-axis millings and turning centers. Theory and practice for various machining operations such as rough and finish turning, boring, and parting. Drilling, tapping, grooving, threading, contouring and pocketing are also covered. Applications include tool and machine setup, fixture building, and producing projects on a variety of CNC machines. Fall Only.
