Introduction to erosion control and stormwater management in civil engineering. Focus on the origin and control of sediment and erosion, especially construction erosion and stormwater runoff. Study includes the use, design, and evaluation of construction erosion controls as well as specific requirements of local and federal erosion control regulations. Basic engineering problem solving using algebra, trigonometry, and analytical computations are stressed. Spring Only.
