Catalog description

Study of the HVAC industry impacts on the natural environment in the U.S. and the world, including the social and technological responses to these environmental impacts. Central topics include pollution sources, the extent and forms of water, air and solid waste pollution, health effects, the historical growth of the environmental movement and the HVAC industry, and technological responses to HVAC related pollutants. Other important topics include refrigerant use and management, fuel spills and storage, stack emissions and green buildings. Emphasis is on the place technological development and energy efficiency has in reducing negative environmental impacts. Formal and informal writing is required. Spring Only.
