Review of standard welding terms and definitions along with the standard welding symbols used in the welding industry. Emphasis on visual inspection of weld discontinuities commonly found in welding. Topics include the requirements and duties of the certified welding inspector, qualifications of welding procedures and specifications, and qualifications of the welding operator with respect to the American Welding Society (AWS), American Petroleum Institute (API), and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) standards.
