Emphasis on the study and recognition of the visual forms of art, especially painting, sculpture and architecture. Includes the study of the function of design; techniques of execution; and the scientific, political, economic, social, and literary dimensions of the period. The history of art from the 16th Century up to and including the 20th Century will be explored.
