Worldwide overview of modern architectural history from the mid-nineteenth century to the present. Topics include new processes and cultural phenomena that have occurred as a result of modernization. Emphasis on the influence of new technologies, building materials, globalization, environmentalism, architectural theory, and the economics of energy in shaping societies, environments, and architectural design.
