Small Animal Radiology Service

Catalog description
This course primarily offers experience in small animal diagnostic radiology with some exposure to diagnostic ultrasound. Principles of radiographic interpretation teaching rounds are held daily. Students will assist in the positioning of animals and taking of routine and special procedure radiographic examinations and will observe and assist with ultrasonographic examinations of Ryan Hospital clinic cases. Students will also interact with the radiologist or radiology resident during their interpretation of the clinic cases. A 2-hour examination is given on the last day of the rotation.
