A study of the Spanish avant-garde including the poetry of GarcÃa Lorca, the films of Luis BuÃ±uel, and the paintings of Salvador DalÃ. We will explore the reception of the avant-garde and of Surrealism in Spain followed by the transformation of the avant-garde into two politically rival ideologies.
