Catalog description

This course will help students develop skills in health policy and health systems analysis through critical review and discussion of leading health and social policy issues, including the structure of the U.S. health care system, the policy initiatives that have shaped it, and the roles of the government, the private sector, and consumers and advocacy groups. The course identifies economic incentives in the US healthcare system and highlights the impact these incentives have on population health.
