Building on foundational coursework, this second clinical experience advances students’ competencies and autonomy in the pediatric acute care nurse practitioner role. Students manage a greater volume and complexity of patient-family interactions, deepen their clinical reasoning, and actively participate in interdisciplinary care. Simulations, seminars, clinical application, and course assignments continue to support skill development. Integration of prior coursework enhances students’ ability to synthesize information and make informed clinical decisions. Professionalism and collaborative practice are emphasized as students move toward greater independence.
