Catalog description

Through asynchronous and synchronous online classes, students explore the roles and accompanying responsibilities of various nursing leaders across the healthcare industry. Students also examine these roles within the context of organizational structure, culture, and opportunity for interdisciplinary collaboration. Approaches for advancing nursing leadership and professional practice are evaluated including developing and mentoring leaders, strategic and succession planning, effectively communicating across diverse audiences, advocating for ideal practice environments, and optimizing scope of practice within various care delivery models.
