Catalog description

As guided by course faculty, students will build upon knowledge gained in prerequisite courses to enact change within a healthcare organization. Quality improvement concepts will be reviewed and applied via field experience and case-based coursework, with particular focus on the countermeasure, implementation, and sustainment phases of a project. Students will also have the opportunity to employ stakeholder engagement strategies, project management tools, and change management principles. In addition to their structured quality improvement project, participants will reflect upon their personal leadership journey throughout the course of the semester. This course requires that students complete at least 240 direct and indirect field hours.
