Catalog description

This course equips Nurse Practitioner students with foundational knowledge in healthcare informatics, finance, and economics. Students will learn to navigate information systems and apply data to inform financial decision-making in complex healthcare environments. Through case studies and real-world scenarios, students will explore budgeting, cost analysis, and resource allocation. Interactive activities will foster negotiation and communication skills essential for leadership and strategic financial planning. By course end, students will be able to evaluate the financial implications of clinical and policy decisions and apply strategies to improve care delivery and access across diverse settings.
