Catalog description

Building on the first clinical practicum course, the clinical fieldwork experience in this course advances students’ competencies and autonomy in the Adult Gerontology Primary Care NP role. Students are expected to actively participate in interdisciplinary care and the management of more complex cases and higher volumes of patient interactions that deepen their clinical reasoning and judgment skills. Simulations, case applications, and clinical projects continue to support skill development. Integration of prior coursework enhances students’ ability to synthesize information and make informed clinical decisions. Professionalism and collaborative practice are emphasized as students move toward greater independence.
