Catalog description

This foundational course is designed for students pursuing advanced nursing practice and is part of the required core curriculum for advanced practice roles. It equips students with an in-depth understanding of human physiology and pathophysiology across the lifespan. Cell biology, cellular adaptations to injury, and cell aging, as well as biochemical genetics and the genetic basis of disease, will be included. Development and physiology of organ systems will be used as the foundation for understanding the pathophysiology of disease across the lifespan.
