Catalog description

Our goal is to study how narratives in fiction but also non-fiction do not simply present these emotions but create them in audiences. The course will target a wide range of emotions, some common, some uncommon. We will study the narrative devices employed, consider cultural context, and discuss emotion theory in both the humanities and psychology. The course will also offer an introduction to experimental humanities
