Catalog description

ESE 4040 is concerned with the design of intelligent infrastructure to support distributed decision making by self-interested agents. Examples will be drawn, for example, from transportation, cloud services and markets for data. The course integrates principles from distinct disciplines. Principles of inference (Statistics), algorithmic principles (Computer Science and Operations Research) and Incentives (Economics).
