Catalog description

This seminar explores key foundational questions for graduate-level work: How is academic knowledge formed and reproduced? How do we engage with and interrogate the scholarly research? And, how do we participate in the academic conversation around a topic? The Master's Paper Seminar introduces students to academic discourse, disciplinary writing conventions, and research practices. As part of this course, students are guided through preparing a Capstone Paper (centered in an argument-driven, robust, literature review) on a topic of their choice.
