LGIS Participant Observation Internship

Catalog description

LGIS students must complete a 160-hour Participant Observation (P.O.) ethnographic internship at an approved site over the summer between their first and second years of study. Students submit an initial proposal for their intended P.O. project as a culminating assignment in EDUC 7220 at the end of their first spring semester. At their summer P.O. site, students conduct research and collect data that will be used in their second year of study.
