Approaches to Teaching Chinese in the K-12 Context

Catalog description

This course provides an overview of the theory and practice of Chinese language teaching with a focus on the K-12 context. Students will explore current issues pertaining to Chinese teaching pedagogy and curricula. There will be opportunities for students to lead discussions, observe classes, create lesson plans, and teach Chinese classes at local Chinese schools.
