Catalog description

This course explores childhood socialization in school environment. Topics include process of socialization; social systems and school as extension of larger society; different agents of socialization in school; values, attitudes, beliefs, and norms; shaping of behaviors; types of behaviors affected by socialization in school; and role of parents in school.
