Catalog description

This course provides teacher candidates with strategies to differentiate instruction for English language learners and culturally diverse populations. Teachers will develop a skill set of inclusive, instructional techniques aligned with the WIDA assessment framework, and other pedagogies that support language learning in the content areas. Teachers will draw on knowledge of federal and state policy, sociolinguistics and culture, collaborative instruction, culturally supportive pedagogy, language assessments, and theories of language development.
