Catalog description

Course description: The Health Professions Education Certificate (HPEC) is a one-credit course designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge needed to design, implement, and evaluate high-quality educational programs across a range of healthcare disciplines and learning settings. Bringing together clinical educators from around the world, the course fosters collaboration and exploration of current trends and evidence-based practices in health professions education. Key topics include adult learning theories, technology-enhanced instruction, curriculum development, interprofessional education, diversity and learning, assessment and evaluation methods, and approaches to coaching and mentorship. Please note: This course is intended for HPEC participants and cannot be used as a substitute for required coursework in the Med Ed curriculum.
