Archaeology of Northeast Asia

Catalog description

This seminar will explore the major civilizations of Northeast Asia (Beijing, Northern Hebei, Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Korea, Eastern Mongolia, and in certain periods, Japan) from the early CE centuries through the seventeenth. The sources of evidence for our investigation are archaeological sites, particularly tombs and objects excavated in tombs, and building complexes that have been understood through archaeology.
