Catalog description

This course will introduce students to the fields of housing, community, and economic development. The course is divided into two parts: one where we study the historical, theoretical, and methodological aspects of HCED planning, and the other where we apply these lessons to different organizations (and issues) within Philadelphia. The course is intended to survey the field, but the assignments and discussion will allow for deeper interrogation of these topics using a seminar style class model.
