Catalog description

This course examines the technological, social, political, economic, and cultural developments that shape the current Hollywood landscape and specifically talent representation. An insider look at the business and personality of artist representation & producing, with application to any career. We will break down the media landscape students are consuming digitally and in theaters, and what’s behind some of their favorite content. Students should leave the course feeling they’ve just been behind the scenes of Hollywood, it’s players and product, and take for themselves true insights about the grit and strategy required, regardless of what their future career plans may be.
