Design of reactors for the production of chemical products. Continuous and batch reactors. Isothermal and non-isothermal operation of reactors. Effects of back-mixing and non-ideal flow in tubular reactors. Mass transfer in heterogeneous reactions. Prerequisites required: CBE 2310 Thermodynamics of Fluids AND CBE 3510 Heat and Mass Transport.
