Catalog description

This seminar focuses on the intersection of art and architecture in a given time and place. It might focus on the ways that architecture incorporates decorative elements or accommodates art works into its physical plan.Or it might consider the concurrent or reactive development of artistic and architectural aesthetics in relationship to one another. It might also explore the ways that art and architecture are purposefully coordinated in the service of national, spiritual, or economic projects, such as government buildings, houses of worship, and financial centers, among others.
