Catalog description

How was scientific knowledge visualized in manuscripts and early printed books? What is a diagram and what does it do? This seminar explores these questions and related topics with examples drawn from Penn’s extensive collection of manuscripts and early printed books. It is open to graduate students, and to advanced undergraduates with permission of the instructors.
