Catalog description

All SUT 1st and 2nd semester courses. Corequisties: SUT 1528 and SUT 1703. An in-depth study of the role of the surgical technologist and review for the certification examination. The course examines liability and legal issues of practice, adapting critical thinking skills to a variety of practice settings, effective team and professional behaviors, continuing education and ethical issues. Practice on computer simulations is required. Prepares the students to sit for the National Certification Surgical Technologist Exam.
