Prerequisites: BIO 2511, BIO 2513, MAT 1313, NUR 1101, NUR 1110, PHSY 1513 This elective nursing course examines pharmacotherapeutic agents used in the treatment of illness and the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of wellness in diverse individuals across the lifespan. Emphasis is on the principles of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and pharmacogenetics in the treatment of selected illnesses. Included are concepts of safe administration and monitoring the effects of pharmacotherapeutic agents.
