Catalog description

This course presents strategies in a framework geared toward instructional planning. In diverse and linguistically rich classrooms the strategies are effective tools for students to apply their learning. This course will include hands-on strategies and videos of classrooms applying the strategies. Assistance in better understanding and preparing to implement instructional strategies, an introduction to the nine strategies of Robert Marzano’s research based instructional strategies. The application of research and assignments are created to guide pairing the strategies with course content. Prerequisites: None. Sustainability Focus - 9 credits
