Provides intermediate knowledge and advanced skills required for entering the field of legal translation and interpretation. Topics include vocabulary for legal matters and judicial procedures, the role of the translator/interpreter within the multilingual U.S. court systems, and preparation for a career as a legal translator/interpreter. Fluency in English and another language is recommended. The Legal Translation and Interpretation Certificate of Completion is awarded upon passing both TRLN 2000 and TRLN 2001 . Total of 54 hours lecture.
