Provides basic knowledge and skills required for entering the field of legal translation and interpretation. Topics include vocabulary for legal matters and judicial procedures, the role of the translator/interpreter within the multilingual U.S. court systems, and preparation required for state and federal Court Translator/Interpreter certification. Fluency in English and another language is recommended. The Legal Translation and Interpretation Certificate of Completion is awarded upon passing both TRLN 2000 and TRLN 2001. Total of 54 hours lecture. Grade Mode: P, N
