Provides intermediate knowledge and skills required for entering the field of medical translation and interpretation. Topics include advanced vocabulary for medical visits and procedures, the role of the translator/interpreter within the multilingual U.S. health care system, and how to find and apply for jobs in the field. Fluency in English and another language is recommended. The Medical Translation and Interpretation Certificate of Completion is awarded upon passing both TRLN 1000 and TRLN 1001 .Total of 54 hours lecture.
