The sociological factors affecting Chicano/a relationships to major institutions, social movements, and their communities, especially compared to the dominant culture and other racial groups. Focus on key themes like immigration, education, employment, politics. Emphasis placed on the intersectionalities of race, class, ethnicity, gender, immigration status, language, sexuality, etc. No credit if taken after SOC 031 or ETH 083 . Total of 54 hours lecture.
