Recommended Preparation: MUSC 087A or enrollment as drummer/percussionist in one of the following: MUSC 057A, 057B, 057C, 057D, 057E, 057F, 061, 062, 070C, or retention based on successful audition. Basic techniques of drum set playing. Emphasis on hand-foot coordination. Styles studied include jazz, Latin and rock. Total of 36 hours lecture and 18 hours music laboratory.
