ELECTRIC BASS REPERTOIRE 2 unit

Catalog description

Study of advanced bass lines in Jazz, Latin, Rock and Classical music and the function of the bass in traditional and contemporary music. Seventh and altered chords, pedal tones, and chord progressions. Development of reading and technical skills. Equipment and on-stage issues. Emphasis on playing in time with appropriate stylistic lines . Music business considerations. Total of 36 hours lecture and 18 hours music laboratory. This course may be scheduled using the "To Be Arranged" (TBA) scheduling format.
