Catalog description

This course provides students with advanced skills in CAD software, focusing on 3D modeling, CAM integration, and complex machining techniques. Students will explore advanced turning operations, toolpath optimization, and quality control through techniques such as coordinate measuring systems (CMS) and statistical process controls (SPC). Designed for those with foundational knowledge, this course equips students with the practical and technical skills necessary for precision manufacturing in a variety of industries. Emphasizing inclusive, hands-on learning, students will work collaboratively and independently to apply industry standards and enhance their problem-solving abilities in real-world scenarios. Total of 36 hours lecture and 54 hours laboratory.
