Catalog description

This course provides a general overview of biology, as well as the fundamentals of cellular and molecular biology. Topics include: the scientific method, biological hierarchy, cell structure and function, and photosynthesis. The content in this course aligns with the Science Framework for California Secondary Education and partially fulfills the science (biological and physical sciences) requirement, one of the two required courses for the high school diploma. Total of 36 to 100 hours lecture.
