Catalog description

This course expands on the foundational understanding of literary elements. Students are introduced to strategies for close reading of texts and writing expository and argumentative compositions. Students apply rhetorical methods to explore themes in works of literature and apply the writing process to compose essays that demonstrate an organization of ideas supported by textual evidence. Total of 36-100 hours of lecture.
