Catalog description

Reflection and discussion of selected topics related to the cultures of the United States while improving English language communication skills. Exploration of holidays, special events, cultural symbols, daily living, leisure activities, and common challenges faced by new immigrants. Recommended for high intermediate to advanced ESL students (ESLN levels 4, 5 and higher). The ESLN Path to Citizenship Certificate of Competency is awarded upon passing both ESLN 1125 and ESLN 1126 . Total of 54 hours lecture.
