Functional reading and math skills designed for adults with intellectual or developmental differences as they relate to living at home, exploring the community, and working on the job. Exploration of background knowledge, fact vs. opinion, and inference; analyze persuasive and functional texts; evaluate topics of media literacy and internet safety; examine budgeting and banking issues, money management and shopping; use measurement; utilize calendars; and explore time management. Total of 63 hours lecture.
