Catalog description

Preparation for careers and/or further education in child care, child development, and early childhood education. Students gain knowledge and essential skills in teaching, guiding, and working with children from birth through 6 years of age. Students apply principles of child development to real-life situations, including dealing with challenging behaviors, communicating with young children, and implementing educational strategies. A Child Care Provider Certificate of Completion is awarded upon completion of CHDN 1100 , CHDN 1101 , and CHDN 1102 . Total of 36 hours lecture.
