Catalog description

Investigation of intermediate and advanced techniques, materials, and expressive potential of transparent and opaque watercolor painting. Hands-on experience with brushwork, washes, color mixing, and layering of transparent and opaque color. Development of observational skills, compositional strategies, and personal artistic expression. Discussion of historical and contemporary watercolor practices. Repeatable for a maximum of 12 credit hours.
